The Hungarian assistant referee played a role in two group matches and the round of 16 between Australia and Denmark, and he now told M4 Sport about his experiences.

“This is a dream come true, the highlight of my career so far, I am happy that I was able to be a part of the World Cup, that I was able to represent the Hungarian refereeing team as an assistant. I hope this is an important step towards future events as well” – she recalled at the Women’s World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand.
At the end of the interview, Anita Vad, who will also play a role in the 2022 Women’s European Championship, added that she will do everything to ensure that one day female referees will also play a role in the Hungarian men’s top flight.
Anita Vad has been a member of the international refereeing team since 2017, she participated in the European Championship last year. His family has a strong tradition of refereeing: his older brother (István Vad II), father and grandfather also had successful careers as referees.
